Stressed-out Entrepreneurs Fuel Engine Of Economy Entrepreneurial Business Stress Levitates

An overwhelming 40% of entrepreneurs in India have declared that their stress levels have risen markedly in the past two years, clearly indicating that the difficult economic environment of the past two years has not only left a mark on business attitudes but also on the entrepreneur’s personal lives. However, stress level among entrepreneurs globally is 46%.The increasing stress levels among entrepreneurs of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), vital for Indian economy clearly identify that their personal lives are closely tied up with their business lives. The survey, conducted by global work-place solutions providing leader, Regus canvassed the opinions of over 5,000 entrepreneurs in 78 countries asking them about their recent revenue and profit
trends, along with their main concerns and causes of stress in the past years.

India Inc Looks To Hire Working Mothers In ’11

A recent survey has revealed that 56 per cent of Indian companies plan to hire mothers on a part-time basis this year that are aiming for a work culture that helps balance work and family responsibilities. This is higher than 36 per cent of global companies, which ploan to hire mothers in 2011, a study undertaken by Regus Plc said. Indian firms’ hiring intentions register far above global average, with 56 per cent of business leaders saying that they would recruit mothers into their workplaces on a part-time basis on account of accelerating economic growth and brightening of employment prospects. This figure is down however, from 64 per cent a year ago, even as 43 per cent of Indian companies plan to add staff overall.
