Three Indian Origin Executives Among US Top-Paid CEOs

Three Indian origin executives, PepsiCo's Ms Indra Nooyi, Motorola's Mr Sanjay Kumar Jha and Citigroup's Mr Vikram Pandit, are now among America's top paid chief executive officer, revealed a survey. Ms Nooyi has bagged the 67th slot with a total pay package of $13.97 million and Mr Jha got the 377th place with a total compensation of $3.45 million, as per a ranking compiled by The Wall Street Journal of 456 US companies. Another Indian Mr Pandit got the 450th position in the survey with a pay package of $125,000. The survey, which covered all 456 of the biggest US public companies with annual revenues of more than $4 billion that filed proxies between October1, 2009 and September 30, 2010.

India Inc Looks To Hire Working Mothers In ’11

A recent survey has revealed that 56 per cent of Indian companies plan to hire mothers on a part-time basis this year that are aiming for a work culture that helps balance work and family responsibilities. This is higher than 36 per cent of global companies, which ploan to hire mothers in 2011, a study undertaken by Regus Plc said. Indian firms’ hiring intentions register far above global average, with 56 per cent of business leaders saying that they would recruit mothers into their workplaces on a part-time basis on account of accelerating economic growth and brightening of employment prospects. This figure is down however, from 64 per cent a year ago, even as 43 per cent of Indian companies plan to add staff overall.
